Getting started

What time should I arrive?
Please arrive on time (a minute or two early is perfect). We start promptly at the posted start time.
Is this a drop-off program?
Yes — this is a drop-off program. We provide safety and supervision during the scheduled session time only (not before or after). Please review the late pick-up policy in the policies document.

Do you provide equipment? What should my participant bring?
We provide rackets. If your participant already has one they like, feel free to bring it. We recommend sneakers and comfortable athletic clothing, plus a water bottle.
What happens if there’s bad weather?
Weather decisions, venue closures, and possible make-up options are described in our policies. We’ll contact you using your preferred method of contact if anything changes.

Placement & age ranges

My participant is older than the age range or might fit better in a different group — can I enroll outside the range?
Usually no — age ranges exist for safety and developmental fit. In some cases, we accept registrations up to 1 year older than the posted age range (for example, an 11-year-old registering for an 8–10 group). If that happens, we may reach out to confirm placement or discuss alternatives.
Can CourtBloom move my participant to a different group after registration?
Yes. We may adjust placement by age, skill level, or other factors to support a safe and high-quality experience. If a placement change is needed, we’ll contact you and help find the safest, best-fit option when possible.

Parents & logistics

Can parents watch?
Yes — parents are welcome to watch from the designated viewing area. We ask that the space remain quiet and non-disruptive so participants can focus.
What if I’m late to pick up my participant?
Please review the late pick-up policy in the policies document. The program staff can only provide supervision during scheduled program hours.

Free programs

Free program attendance — do we need to attend both days?
CourtBloom programs are free. When a program lists multiple sessions in a week, the best experience comes from attending each session when possible. If you can only attend one day, you may still enroll.
Helpful guideline
Best experience = attend each listed session when possible. One-day attendance is OK, but your participant may miss some progression activities.
What if we’ll miss more than half of the free program?
If you expect to miss more than half of the sessions (for example, every other Saturday in a weekly Sat/Sun program), please email us first before registering. We plan staffing and group sizes carefully, and we’ll do our best to make it work.
